Introduction

By accessing or using the Tides of Teal website, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our Website.

What to do if you think your order has been lost in the post.

Sometimes the post is a little slower than expected, especially around the holidays, but most parcels turn up within two weeks. If yours hasn’t, please get in touch and we’ll investigate. If your delivery address is outside of the UK, please allow a little longer and get in touch if your order hasn’t arrived within four weeks.

Custom charges

With international delivery outside of the UK, there may be import taxes to pay. This is the customer's responsibility to pay. Any returns from items not being released from customs will not receive a refund on delivery and will have to pay to have the item resent if applicable. Custom delays and opened packages are not under the control of Tides of Teal. Please reach out with any issues and we will do our best to help.

What about if my item arrives faulty?

We hand package our items with care and do our utmost to ensure your parcel arrives in a good state, using trusted Royal Mail and Parcelforce as our first choice couriers. Unfortunately damage may occur. If this happens, please take photographs and get in touch right away so we can sort. We will do our best to either fix the damage, send a replacement or claim through the courier. As the recipient you have to claim through the courier.

Returns

I want you to be absolutely delighted with your purchase from Tides of Teal, so if you’re not happy I offer a hassle free return service. Simply pop the unused product back in the post to me in the original packaging at 82 Mantle Street, Wellington, TA21 8AU, and I’ll refund you as soon as I receive it back.

Remember the product is your responsibility until I receive it back, so make sure you wrap it securely and get a proof of postage. Please note that although I will process your refund right away, it may take a few days until the funds appear back in your account.

Payments

Full payment must be cleared before shipping goods from items bought online. I have a right to cancel any orders without notice if required and offer a full refund. With commissions, I normally require a 50% non-refundable deposit upfront, with the rest due on completion. With workshops, payment is non-refundable if cancelled or a no-show. Please contact me if you are unable to make it and I will do my best to fill your space. If filled, I can offer you a full refund. You can also transfer your space to another person if you cannot make it.

Delivery

For items in stock, your order will be despatched within 5 working days. For made to order items, please allow a minimum of four weeks before despatch. You will receive an email once your order has been despatched with a tracking number. If an item is out of stock, please contact me as I may be able to make one to order. Standard delivery is 48hr tracked with Royal Mail (or Parcelforce for large items). If you would like expedited shipping, please contact me as I may be able to despatch quicker and can upgrade your shipping. International shipping is available. Contact me for the best quote. Unfortunately I cannot ship my White Waves pigment internationally.

Commissions

We will have an initial consultation via email to determine what you are looking for. We can also arrange video or phone calls if required/requested. At the design stage, you will receive a quick sketch/visual mock up to clarify sizing and design. Once confirmed, I require a 50% non-refundable deposit. Once this has been received, there will be a minimum of four week lead time until completion.

If it is a new concept, I will often make a mini piece to confirm colours and style before proceeding to the main piece (not guaranteed). Due to the process of working with resin, I will do the pours as required and send a photo once completed.

If any changes are requested, we can discuss and I can do a new layer if necessary. Please note I cannot edit the underlying resin as once it’s cured I cannot edit the effects.

Once cured, I will finish the piece (sides and back) and send you a final photo. The remaining 50% payment will then be due, with any postage costs if required. Once payment has been received, I can post, deliver or collection can be arranged.

Please note that commissions cannot be refunded due to the personalised and bespoke nature. We will work together to create your vision!

Any additional changes made once the design has been finalised and the commission has started, may incur costs.

Once the commission has been completed, if final payment is not made or the order is cancelled, I have the right to keep the 50% non-refundable deposit and sell the work on.

By undertaking a commission and paying the deposit, you accept and understand the terms and conditions above.

Use of the Website

Prohibited actions: you agree not to engage in any of the following activities:

- Violating any applicable laws or regulations.

- Impersonating any person or entity.

- Uploading or transmitting viruses, malware, or other harmful code.

- Collecting information from other users without their consent.

- Disrupting the Website's functionality or attempting to gain unauthorized access to our systems.

Intellectual Property

Content Ownership. All content, text, graphics, logos, and other materials on this Website are the property of Tides of Teal or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

Disclaimer

a. No Warranty: We provide the Website on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis without any warranties, expressed or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.

b. Limitation of Liability: We shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages resulting from the use or inability to use the Website.

Our website may contain links to third-party websites. We do not endorse or control these websites and are not responsible for their content. Your use of third-party websites is at your own risk.

Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to the Website at any time, with or without cause, without notice.
