Get Excited! My South West Coast Path Adventure is About to Begin (with Tiny Art Treasures Daily!) 🤩
Hi everyone, welcome to my ‘Explore’ blog! I'm Holly from Tides of Teal, and I'm so excited to share a very personal and ambitious journey with you all - I'm embarking on a walk of the entire South West Coast Path!
For the next two months (hopefully!), I'll be putting one foot in front of the other, hiking the breath-taking coastline of the south west of England. This national trail, stretching over 630 miles, is filled with stunning scenery, challenging terrain (the elevation is the equivalent of scaling Mount Everest 4 times!), and a whole lot of inspiration that I can't wait to experience and capture in my art.
As this walk is a huge challenge; I'll also be taking the opportunity to fundraise for the incredible Wave Project. As many of you know, my business, Tides of Teal, already supports their vital work using surfing to improve the mental health and well-being of young people. I believe deeply in the therapeutic power of the coast and wanted to use this walk to raise even more awareness and funds for their amazing cause.
I also see this as an amazing opportunity to create art every day (probably while Dan is having a post lunch nap!), to capture the unique beauty of each day's walk. I'll be creating mini paintings inspired by the landscapes, colours, and moments encountered along the South West Coast Path. These little snapshots will be a way for me to document my journey visually and share the incredible places we'll be passing through. You can follow along here on the ‘Explore’ blog for updates on our progress, photos from the trail, and of course, glimpses of my daily mini art creations.
We'll be carrying all our gear and camping along the way, truly immersing ourselves in the coastal environment. It's going to be a challenging but incredibly rewarding experience, and I'm so thrilled to have you join me virtually on this adventure.
